Nearly two decades will separate the launch of the third-generation Dodge Durango and the upcoming fourth-generation model. The new Charger was the first Dodge vehicle to use the large SLTA architecture. Its design departs from the outdated features of the previous generation, featuring a sharper, more modern aesthetic, which our version of the Durango adopts.
The design has slim headlights connected by a full-width light strip across the front, which defines the grille. Sharp creases define the wheel arches and extend to the doors. At the back, the Durango features the same “ring of fire” LED taillights as the Charger, sporting illuminated Frazog logos front and rear.
When will the 2029 Durango debut?
The next-generation Durango will arrive in 2029, so it will likely be several more years before it actually debuts. We don’t expect Dodge to officially introduce the new SUV until 2028, though we expect the brand to tease its launch before the debut.
How much will the Durango cost?
The entry-level 2026 Dodge Durango, which comes with a 3.6-liter V6, costs $40,990. In 2021, Durango pricing starts at $33,260 for the SXT trim, which is no longer available. However, a new Durango at this price seems unlikely, considering the Hornet costs $31,990.
It’s impossible to predict four years from now what the new model will cost, but $40,000 appears to be the minimum pricing for the new model, and it’s likely only to rise in the coming years. We wouldn’t be shocked if the 2029 Durango starts at around $45,000.
