Ford revived its street truck formula a little over a year ago with the launch of a model Maverick Lobo. For this year’s SEMA Show, the Blue Oval is taking things one step further by outfitting its smallest pickup truck with a range of Ford Performance parts. Compatible with AWD XL, XLT and Lariat models, these upgrades aren’t just for show: a production version is scheduled to follow next year.
The Maverick 300T is developed around a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine. The original turbocharger has been replaced with the larger unit Mustang with 2.3L EcoBoost engine. Ford also adds a Mishimoto intercooler and ProCal 4 tuning, boosting output by 50 horsepower and 40 pound-feet of torque. The result is an estimated 300 hp and 317 lb-ft.
This turbo upgrade is legal in all 50 states and comes with a three-year Ford Performance Parts warranty, provided a Ford A dealer or ASE-certified technician performs hardware changes. However, the package goes beyond the turbo.
The Maverick 300T borrows the stabilizer bar, bushings, lowering kit and dampers from Lobo. It also rides on sourced bright 20-inch bronze wheels Mach EGT. Elsewhere, it also features an Air Design front spoiler, fender flares, and a Borla sports exhaust with black chrome tips.

Naturally, there’s no shortage of Ford Performance branding inside and out, complemented by 300T body badges on the hood and doors. Bronze accents extend to Maverick Lettering on the back door. While SEMA relies on Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires, Ford recommends Pirelli P Zero Elect rubber instead. Street-oriented springs lower the front and rear by 10mm and 30mm respectively.
Although officially classified as a project vehicle, a similar version of the Maverick 300T range will be available for purchase next year. Meanwhile, Ford will have the facelifted sport truck at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas through Friday, November 7.
