Lamborghini now has a warranty as long as Kia’s

A good car warranty is one you hope you never use. It’s a promise that if something breaks, the automaker will pay for the repairs, but each one has a specific difference. Some warranties are short – three years or 36,000 miles – while some are as long as a decade, and Lamborghini is now one of those companies.

The Italian automaker announced a new program that begins offering a five-year warranty on the brand’s latest models: Temerariothe Revueltoand Oros C. Lamborghini also offers a standard eight-year warranty on the high-voltage batteries in its hybrid cars.

Then there’s the Selezione Warranty Extension Program which will protect luxury cars for up to a decade, from the car’s first registration. This would put it on par with Kia 10-year warrantywhich is also good for 100,000 miles. Lamborghini It doesn’t state a maximum mileage with its warranty, but the company’s previous warranty, which was only good for three years, had unlimited mileage.

These programs will allow Lamborghini to keep its cars on the road and in good condition, “thus protecting – and even increasing – their value,” said Giuliano Casattaro, head of Lamborghini Aftersales. “Our mission is to provide comprehensive support to customers throughout the life cycle of their vehicles.”

Warranty coverage issues

Despite the quality of modern cars, problems can still arise with them in the first few years of ownership. This is when warranty is most important, and every manufacturer is different. A decade-long warranty is not the norm, but it is becoming more common. Kia And Hyundai is outside of its 10-year powertrain warranties.

Ram recently announced that it will introduce A 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty In the 2026 1500 pickup truck because owners are keeping their trucks longer than ever before. Chevrolet extended the 2024 Silverado’s warranty to 100,000 miles, but it only applies to one model.

While warranties are mostly for new cars, Toyota offers one for certified pre-owned cars that offers a 12-month, 12,000-mile warranty. What makes it interesting is that cars up to 10 years old and up to 125,000 miles are eligible.
