Mazda explains the 2025 logo change


At the 2025 Japan Mobility Expo this week, Mazda finally officially announced its new logo. It’s been a long time coming, considering that the trademark registration first appeared over a year ago. As initially thought, this is actually a subtle evolution of the code that was introduced in 1997. “The new version is optimized to enhance visibility in digital media.” Both the existing and new brands will be used in appropriate contexts, including co-branding or joint venture communications. We will be using the new brand symbol and word mark in several promotions, mainly digital, starting with the new CX-5. Additionally, we will gradually roll it out to websites in each market to improve digital visibility.

The new mark has already been applied to the Mazda EZ-60, and has also been partially adopted by the all-new CX-5. We plan to introduce it to future new models later. Regarding the application to existing models, nothing has been specified at the moment.
