The revived Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer were not a success. So, for 2026, Jeep is rethinking things, Dropping the “Wagoneer” name. And make the Grand Wagoneer much cheaper. In addition to the facelift, Jeep is also adding the Extended Extended EV (REEV) powertrain The upcoming Ram 1500 REV.
While the previous Grand Wagoneer started at $87,040 and rose to $114,635 for the long-wheelbase Series III Obsidian model, the new model’s pricing shifts slightly into old Wagoneer territory. Jeep is also ditching the confusing I, II and III Series models in favor of some familiar names. Here’s the breakdown.
| model | price |
| Grand Wagoneer 4×2 | $64,740 |
| Grand Wagoneer 4×2 LWB | $67,740 |
| Grand Wagoneer 4×4 | $67,740 |
| Grand Wagoneer 4×4 LWB | $70,740 |
| Limited height 4×4 | $73,735 |
| Limited Height 4×4 LWB | $76,735 |
| Obsidian 4×4 top | $95,985 |
| Summit Obsidian 4×4 LWB | $98,985 |
The Stellantis’ base engine remains a 3.0-liter twin-turbo “Hurricane” inline six-cylinder, producing 420 horsepower and 468 pound-feet of torque. But more interesting is the REEV option, which will come later in the model year. It consists of a 92-kilowatt-hour battery, which is charged via a 3.6-liter V6 engine and a 120-kilowatt generator. This setup should provide a range of over 500 miles.
The REEV will be powerful, too: 647 horsepower and 620 pound-feet of torque, putting the Grand Wagoneer in Cadillac Escalade-V territory. The automaker claims a sub-5-second 0-60 mph time for the REEV.
Jeep hasn’t announced pricing for the REEV yet or confirmed its exact availability date. But we’ll be watching this closely, because it’s a very interesting option.
Moreover, the Grand Wagoneer gets a new front fascia with an illuminated grille inspired by the Wagoneer S Electric. The front also has a Jeep logo. Jeep originally wanted “Wagoneer” to be its own sub-brand, placing the model name on the leading edge of the hood. Now with that plan abandoned, the Grand Wagoneer is getting a Jeep badge.
The exterior also gets new colors, wheel options, and dark trim. No more chrome. Inside, the interior is largely the same, except for a new color option and a larger display.
All of this comes as Stellantis works to save itself from years of bad decision making. Jeep’s upscale push has been a failure, so it is now trying to return to its traditional position and win back its old customers. Jeep may be playing catch-up most of the time, but with the REEV powertrain, it is leading the rest of the industry as competitors race to make similar options a reality.
