A brand’s value is a critical measure of its recognition, overall health, and ability to adapt to changing market conditions. That’s why consultancy Interbrand has been publishing its annual Best Global Brands ranking – which includes the best brands in various industries, including automotive – for the past 26 years.
In the ranking of the best global brands 2025, there are many familiar names at the top. Apple maintains first place overall, followed by Microsoft and Amazon. Among car brands Toyota Once again, it leads the pack, showing a 2 percent increase in brand value.
Overall, Toyota remained steady in sixth place, with an estimated brand value of $74.2 billion. Although this is a large number, it is still far less than Apple’s estimated brand value of $470.9 billion.
Mercedes-Benz remains second among car brands (10th overall), despite a 15 percent drop in value to $50.1 billion. BMW It ranked third in the automotive category (14th overall), down 10%, bringing its brand value down to $46.8 billion. Here’s where every brand, including non-cars, ranked on this year’s list:

In terms of car brands, it came after Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and BMW in the Interbrand 2025 rankings. Tesla In fourth place. Even at fourth place, this number represents a sharp 35% decline for Tesla from last year, putting it in 25th place in the overall rankings.
Among the few car brands seeing growth, Hyundai is in sixth place with an increase of 7 percent, while Ferrari – the only Italian brand on the list – comes in eighth place with an impressive gain of 17 percent.
Outside the top 10, Nissan ranks 82nd overall with a 33 percent drop from last year. Kia ranks 89th, with an increase of 5 percent, and BYD enters the list for the first time in 90th place.
It is also worth noting that brands known primarily for other products are now making great strides in the automotive sector. Smartphone giant Xiaomi, ranked 81st, has entered the electric vehicle market with models like the SU7. Likewise, Huawei, ranked 96th, collaborates with several automakers while maintaining its primary focus on consumer electronics.
