Dodge is one step closer to selling the 2026 Durango R/T 392 and SRT Hellcat in all 50 states. Earlier this year, the automaker confirmed that it would not sell the two models in states that follow California Air Resources Board (CARB) regulations.
But all that changed recently. In October, the company officially opened order books for the Hellcat in 10 additional CARB states, though it hasn’t arrived in California yet. According to Dodge, you can now order Durango SRT Hellcat in:
- Colorado
- Connecticut
- Delaware
- who
- Maryland
- Minnesota
- Nevada
- New Jersey
- rhode island
- Virginia
dodge The Hellcat is still banned from being sold in seven other states, but the automaker is working to correct that. The automaker believes the SUV will be on sale across the country by the end of the year.

This is not the first time CARB guidelines have limited the availability of certain models. In 2023, reports emerged that Stellantis had stopped sending combustion-only vehicles To 14 states Which followed California regulations.
A Dodge spokesman said Engine1:
βIn October, the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat was approved to open for orders in 10 additional states by CARB…and currently remains restricted for sale in 7 states, down from 17 in August 2025. We will continue to work through the policy changes and expect to be approved to open orders in all 50 states by the end of this year.β We plan to open orders for the Durango R/T 392 in the first quarter of 2026.
dodge Gone with the all-V-8 lineup for the old 2026 Durango. It ditched the V-6 in favor of three V-8 engines β a naturally aspirated 5.7-liter, a naturally aspirated 6.4-liter, and a supercharged 6.2-liter. The two larger engines power the 392 and Hellcat, making 710 horsepower in the SRT version.
A report surfaced in August that Dodge would not sell the car Many states are CARB compliantAlthough the automaker said at the time that it was working on making V-8-powered vehicles viable in those markets, the world seems to be paying off.
