We all know the extent of the Chinese market for the global car scene. Any changes have an immediate impact on the rest of the auto world. China not only leads the race to the electricity, but the country is taking great steps in technologies such as helping the advanced driver, artificial intelligence and self -rule.
But even with China races to market with new innovations and the most exciting products, one thing remains unchanged: sedans are still controlling.
Although the sedan has greatly overwhelmed the SUVs in markets such as the United States and Europe, the traditional family of four doors is still a great success in China. Without this success, the sedans may have already disappeared completely from the road.
Half global sales
According to searching for global auto sales in 2024, China (including Hong Kong and Taiwan) formed more than 50 percent of the world’s sedan sales, with 7.89 million units (+1 %). Despite the modest growth, the sedan is still a symbol of position among Chinese drivers, which is why almost all Chinese manufacturers still produce it, unlike many of their European and American counterparts.
The second largest sedan market was the United States of America / Canada with 2.63 million units (+1 %). Surprisingly, Europe is only fifth, behind the Middle East (1.15 million, including Iran) and Latin America (921,000). European consumers always prefer hatchbacz, station vehicles, and of course SUV.

The Volkswagen group also saw a 4 percent decrease, with 1.82 million units.
